Dr. Chip Beck has five decades of worldwide experience in military, intelligence, peacekeeping, defense, and foreign affairs experience with the United States security establishment.
Dr. Chip Beck retired in January 2010 after serving 5 years as the Policy & Program Coordinator for the Africa Contingency Operations Training Assistance (ACOTA) program. Before that, he had professional experience in in counter-insurgency, counter-terrorism, counter-narcotics, counter-intelligence, counter-espionage, denied-area, paramilitary, foreign intelligence, security, peacekeeping, strategic influence, interrogation, political action, and covert operations. His previous employers include the CIA, the US Navy, and DynCorp.
Dr. Beck is experienced with headquarters or field assignments and has a doctorate in Organizational Leadership and Conflict Resolution. He speaks French, Spanish, and Portuguese and bits of KiSwahili, Arabic, Lao, Thai, Russian, and Japanese.
In addition to his security-related experience, Dr. Beck is a professional artist, editor, writer, and photographer.
