
Senior Research Fellow at Centre for Military Studies in the University of Copenhagen

Dr. Henrik Breitenbauch is a Danish specialist in political science and defense, including dimensions such as high-level strategy and NATO planning. He was a Senior Research Fellow and Deputy Head of Institute ad interim, and before that Research Fellow, with the Danish Institute for Military Studies (DIMS). In 2008, the Defence Command Denmark sent him as a national contributor to NATO’s Allied Command Transformation, where he served as lead writer at the Multiple Futures Project.
Biography:
Dr. Henrik Breitenbauch was a Senior Research Fellow and Deputy Head of Institute ad interim, and before that Research Fellow, with the Danish Institute for Military Studies (DIMS). In 2008, the Defence Command Denmark sent him as a national contributor to NATO’s Allied Command Transformation, where he served as lead writer at the Multiple Futures Project.
Before Dr. Breitenbauch joined the DIMS he worked at the Danish Institute for International Studies’ Department for Defence and Security Studies, and a graduate student and Research Fellow at the Department of Political Science, at the University of Copenhagen. Dr. Breitenbauch was also a Visiting Research Fellow at Brown University’s Watson Institute for International Studies (2002-2003) and auditeur libre at Science Po’s Ecole doctorale (2003-2004).
