Biography:
Dr. Sowell’s early involvement in the traffic systems industry include five years as Vice President of Marketing for Peek Traffic System, and Director positions in the International Business and Product Management Departments at the Econolite Group Inc. More recently, Dr. Sowell worked mostly in the Middle East as International Development Officer at TEC Engineering in Saudi Arabia, CEO at Al-Nasr International and Managing Director at Swarco Middle East in the UAE.

In addition to having over 23 years of progressive success in corporate management, business development, and marketing and sales management, Dr. Sowell’s background includes an extensive career in machine vision and video detection as well as active roles in professional organizations in the ITS market such as ITS Arab, and the Institute of Transportation Engineers.
