Biography:

Prof. Raynor is a Professor of Finance at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Delhi, and, during the summer, is a visiting professor at Universidad Catholica Santo Toribio De Mogrovejo in Peru. He have a broad professional experience in both academic settings and the private sector, as well as extensive international experience in Peru, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and China. He has special interest in Latin American economic and trade issues.

Prof. Raynor’s three articles on outsourcing, published on Brave New Work World beginning in 2003, ignited the “firestorm” of media and political attention given to the shipping of high-value American jobs overseas. Before Prof. Raynor’s first article on the subject, few others had been talking about it. Then, immediately after his article’s publication, Prof. Raynor heard from several major media organizations as well as corporations and was invited to appear on a CBS News program.
