Mr. Forkner is a retired Navy Commander with over 30 years of in leadership, education and research experience in K-12, undergraduate and graduate university programs. He was the Deputy Director at the Center for Naval Analyses from 1997-2000, participating in over 20 studies during that time and now serves an Assistant Professor in the Department of International Security Studies at the Air War College at the Maxwell AFB in AL.

Biography

Mr. Forkner is a retired Navy Commander with over 30 years of in leadership, education and research experience in K-12, undergraduate and graduate university programs. He is an assistant Professor in the Department of International Security Studies at the Air War College at the Maxwell AFB in AL. In this role he leads the Emerging Technologies Integration Group, act as the director of the Air War College Culture & Language Program and he’s a member at the US Air Force Culture and Language Council.

In addition, Mr. Forkner served as a Senior Naval Officer at the Western Air Defense Sector (NORAD), McChord AFB, WA. In this role he was the Assistant Director of Operations (ADO); Chief, Battle Staff; Chief, Operations Support; Chief. He also served at USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70), Naval Station Bremerton, WA as a Combat Direction Center Officer, Integrated Training Team Leader, Battle Group Training Director, Force Protection Council, Command Duty Officer (Underway) and Command Duty Officer (In port).
