Biography

Currently Dr. Ian Davis works as the Founding Director at NATO Watch, and works as a Freelance Consultant. Previously he was the Executive Director at the British American Security Information Council. From 1988-2001 he worked as the Programme Manager on the Arms & Security Programme at Safeworld, where he worked on strategic management of the arms and security programme in Eastern Europe.

Prior to this work, he served as the Project Coordinator at Platform for Security. Previously, he was the Research Officer at the Oxford Research Group where he explored the European mechanisms for R&D.

He has also published the book “The Regulation of Arms and Dual-Use Exports by EU Member States: A Comparative Analysis of Germany, Sweden and the UK
