Dr. Tehsin is a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies at Quaid-I-Azam University in Islamabad, Pakistan. He received his PhD in International Relations from the University of Vienna, focusing on Iranian Nuclear Proliferation as well as nuclear proliferation throughout the Middle East and South Asia. Biography

Dr. Tehsin is a tenure-track Assistant Professor at the Department of Defence and Strategic Studies at Quaid-I-Azam University in Islamabad, Pakistan. He received his PhD in International Relations from the University of Vienna, focusing on Iranian Nuclear Proliferation as well as nuclear proliferation throughout the Middle East and South Asia. Dr. Tehsin brings with him a wealth of knowledge on nuclear proliferation issues as well as the threat of Islamic radicalism in Pakistan.
Dr. Tehsin has authored multiple scholarly articles on nuclear posturing, deterrence and Islam in Eurasia. His work goes beyond the basic country-by-country issues and seeks to explore issues like the interconnectedness of Iranian nuclear research, Af-Pak stability and U.S. security. He has served as an advisor on counter-terrorism to the Pakistani Interior Ministry as well as a guest lecturer for the Intelligence Bureau Academy, Foreign Service Academy, and the National Policy Academy (Pakistan).
His studies in South Asian military affairs and nuclear non-proliferation are especially relevant given the tensions surrounding Pakistani use of tactical nuclear weapons or the capture of nuclear weapons by extremists. Dr. Tehsin has studied and written frequently about the potential threats of these scenarios and how they would affect regional and global security.
