Jeffrey Itell is a Lead Analyst for Wikistrat and a consultant on stabilization, reconstruction, counterinsurgency, governance, accountability and globalization. Previously, he led government accountability projects in Afghanistan (2009-2012), Germany (1983-1987) and the U.S., where he was instrumental in revising FEMA’s disaster response strategy post-Hurricane Andrew and in revising the 1995 Farm Bill.

Biography

Jeffrey Itell is a Lead Analyst for Wikistrat and a consultant on stabilization, reconstruction, counterinsurgency, governance, accountability and globalization. Previously, he led government accountability projects in Afghanistan (2009-2012), Germany (1983-1987) and the U.S., where he was instrumental in revising FEMA’s disaster response strategy post-Hurricane Andrew) and revising the 1995 Farm Bill. He has testified before Congress numerous times and was a featured columnist for the Washington Post online. He is a contributing writer to major newspapers, magazines and blogs as well as a television and radio commentator. He has also held senior management positions in the information technology, academic and nonprofit industries.
