Mr. Smart has 15 years of management experience helping companies develop and execute strategic, business and marketing plans at various growth stages. Mr. Smart has great exprience in managing cross-functional processes to commercialize new products and services, including product development, product marketing, business development and sales.

He has spent nearly 18 years working with early stage and emerging technology and renewable energy companies, as well as companies in transition, both public and private. His varied experiences have provided him with the invaluable working knowledge that comes from working side-by-side with innovators and entrepreneurs, boiling down complex problems into actionable paths forward.

His recent venture, Shelf to Seed, is a subscription-based, online food marketplace emphasizing values-based products. It is a virally expanding network of buyers, sellers and promoters working together to profitably grow consumer demand for values-based products. It is an entrepreneurial platform to actively help launch new value-add third-party applications (running on the RPM platform) and new VBF-oriented ventures (e.g., online values-based buying clubs, regional distributors or food hubs).
