Biography

Shane Deichman has spent more than two decades in the national security field as both a scientist and a manager. He has lectured at the State Department, the Pentagon, National Laboratories as well as service, joint and international war colleges, and has published several articles on innovation and warfighting.
A graduate of the U.S. Naval War College who spent four years in the Fleet Marine Force as a science and technology advisor, he holds a Baccalaureate in Physics from the University of California at Berkeley and a Master of Science in Management from Salve Regina University.
He founded his own company in 2008 (EMC2 LLC, a consulting company focused on emergency management and disaster preparedness), and today is a member of the Defense Acquisition Corps serving as a Program Manager for Modeling & Simulation at a U.S. defense agency.
