Tom Mayhew was a Senior Director for North America Sales and Consulting at Oracle Corporation and he is a Captain in the US Navy Reserve, Naval Air Systems Command. Thomas Mayhew was a Senior Director for North America Sales and Consulting at Oracle Corporation between 1994-2008. He managed a three-year sales/delivery campaign for Oracle’s Public Sector sales and consulting division that captured six major $20-million-plus enterprise software license deals and numerous $2-5 million sales for each military service and several civilian agencies. He was hand-picked by executive management on six different occasions to lead multi-year, global strategic market initiatives and averaged $50 million increase in annual sales and consulting revenue per initiative across numerous industry sectors and software application/technology categories. He also led and hand-picked global teams of 25-50 people on four different occasions, to develop Oracle’s market presence in electronic commerce, supply chain and manufacturing, financial services, and government.
Mr. Mayhew has been a Captain in the US Navy Reserve, Naval Air Systems Command, since 1989. While on duty, he has directed all recruiting, training, assignments, work prioritization, funding, deployments, and performance evaluations for a workforce of 260 highly skilled engineers, operational specialists, and technicians (2009-2011). During this time he served on active duty with 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, U.S. Marine Corps. where he managed engagement strategies, operations, training, and deployment schedules for Navy aviation and maintenance personnel supporting U.S. Marine Corps combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan (2008-2011). He also managed small, mobile teams of forensic engineers who analyzed hostile fire against U.S. military aircraft and provided critical event information to government executives, public affairs responses to media and congressional inquiries, and forensic analysis data to aircraft survivability engineers and intelligence agencies (2006-2007). Mr. Mayhew led multiple engineering project teams in all phases of major development programs.
He specializes in leading small, highly focused teams in new product introductions, marketing campaigns, technology upgrades, industry realignments, corporate reorganizations, startups, and turnaround situations. Repeat success growing new markets or introducing leading-edge technology in the B2B electronic commerce, supply chain, aerospace, military, banking, and information technology industries.
