A New Reality.
A New Challange.

As the world becomes increasingly digital, companies face a new reality: The speed of innovation is greater than it’s ever been, the time between development cycles continues to shrink and customer expectations continuously rise.

Only by becoming more data-driven in
their decisions can companies become more responsive to their customers’ needs, deliver new digital experiences and increase
operational efficiency.

Background

To make this happen, companies must master the Digital Thread – the uninterrupted flow of data, information and insights that runs across the product and operating value chain.

Enabling detailed, multi-directional sharing of data, information, insight, and intelligence across every plant, process, and product.

The Digital Thread can help companies redefine the products they make and how they make them, balancing between resilience,
relevance, and responsibility across the product and operating value chain.

In the simulation,
the crowd explored how the
Digital Thread is best used, applied, and scaled within the product and operating value chain across various industries.

The entire simulation was conducted online and divided into three different phases.

PHASE II:
COLLABORATION AND COLLECTIVE EVALUATION

The crowd was working together on the case studies generated during Phase I with the goal of reviewing and strengthening them

Phase I:
INDIVIDUAL PHASE

Individual analysis regarding the deployment and readiness of digital frameworks in each participant's own industry;

Mapping the roadblocks to scaling such digital connections, and exploring steps to be taken to accelerate the scaling of digital threads within their industry

PHASE III:
VOTING

To conclude the simulation, the crowd has answered a short survey on the Digital Thread and how it can help companies redefine the products they make and how they make them
