Ahmet is a lecturer of Politics and International Relations at London Metropolitan University and a visiting scholar at the Department of Political Science and International Relations, University of Birmingham, UK. He is also the co-editor of the Edinburgh University Press Series on Modern Turkey and Turkey correspondent of the international scientific network Sociological and Legal Data on Religions in Europe and Beyond (EUREL).
